Circa 1900s-1920s, a French chemise de nuit in a light weight crisp white cotton. A square neckline featuring broderie anglaise and pintucks, and scalloped edging. A long off-centre front placket would easily facilitate nursing. A wearable “Sunday-best” heirloom piece built to last for many decades more.
